Oktoberfest is a community fundraising event, hosted by the Dallas Civic Club. No carry-ins allowed.

Format: 6-person teams
Preliminary rounds are round-robin group play cross-over format. Matches will be best-of-two and will use the kubb count format. Kubbs count as one point and kings will count as two points. Teams will then enter bracket play, which will consist of at least a Championship Bracket and a Silver Bracket. The top four scoring teams in each of the two cross-over groups will advance to the Championship Bracket. The next four highest scoring teams will advance to the Silver Bracket. The bottom two will enter the Bronze Bracket. Any of the top four returning teams will be placed in the top of a group. Tiebreakers will consist of a throw off to determine seed. U.S. National Kubb Championship rules will be used.

Each team needs to have at least two inkastares (kubb tossers). No inkastare can throw kubbs on consecutive turns. For example, one inkastare will throw all the kubbs in one turn and the other inkastare the following turn.

Environment:

Kubb, food trucks, homemade lefse, assortment of beer, car show, polka band, more kubb, pancake breakfast, cannon blasts, Amish crafts, old time baseball game, wiener dog races, more kubb, local food for sale, music/beer/food in the park, and even more kubb, all in the small little town of Dallas, right in the heart of Kubb Country, USA.
